The Cottingham Singers started as a mixed choir, as an evening class at the Cottingham Evening Institute in September 1973 and the choir performed the first concert in 1974.

The choir has performed a range of music to suit all tastes, including choruses from operas and oratorios, spirituals, folk and traditional songs. It also included songs from well-loved shows such as Oklahoma, Les Miserables, and classical pieces such as Mozart’s Ave Verum.

Paul Anderson joined us as Musical Director in September 2009 and our Accompanist, Marlene Pinchbeck, has been with us since September 2003.

Unfortunatley, as time has gone on, the number of members has reduced significantly. Also we now only have one male singer, and combined with the fact that the choir is no longer viable financially, we have had to take the sad decision to close the choir, after this our Farewell Concert.

We would like to thank you for supporting our concerts over the years and for giving to our designated charities. This Summer we have 2 charities to support:-

Any funds left after we close will be split between the 2 aforementioned charities.

The Cottingham Singers are sad to announce our farewell Concert.

At  7.30pm  on the 11th July 2018  at the

We proudly present our Summer Concert.
